Bombarda with sails (polacca)
“Βomparda” or “vomvarda” was a common type of vessel in the Eastern Mediterranean. It is a descendant of “polacca”, with two masts and sails like polacca’s. Ship of the 18th century with stern frame and capacity that reached to 200 tons.
This copy has a length of 60 cm, sails with crossings to the mast of the bow and spanker spencered sail on the mast of the aft.
This copy has a length of 60 cm and its sails are similar to the sails of the type of the ship called “sabatiera”, with main top stay sails and two jibs
