Very common type of vessel in the Aegean, with “avaka” (means mirror) to the stern. There were several variations, with either concave or convex the rudder post of the bow. Such type of ships built later with rudder post of the bow similar to the type of the ship called “karavoskaro”. Its capacity reached to 250 tons.
This copy has a length of 60 cm and its sails are similar to the sails of the type of the ship called “sabatiera”, with main top stay sails and two jibs.
